Events

I know I have a separate about me page, but I wanted to give you all a bit more context on my journey, a few insights into where I’ve been, and who I am. If you’re looking Upcoming Events, that link is where you’ll want to go.

My Journey:

My writing career began in earnest when I published The Z Virus: Outbreak in 2012. I was able to attend various local events, including this broadcast on the local news in my hometown of Yuma, Arizona. I met hundreds of readers over the years, and parents have told me that this is the first book their children read willingly. To have any role in a child’s – or anyone’s – love of reading is a humbling experience. I’ll never forget those experiences, and I’ll be eternally grateful for the love and support shown to me back home.

During college, writing slowed down and I didn’t publish anything. In 2019, I came back with a new series: Cursed. Local business, The Coffee Bean, in Yuma welcomed me for my first signing in five years. The feeling of truly being at home is hard to explain, even for me, but that’s the joy I’m afforded at every signing.

On par with my love for telling stories is my love for interacting with the people who read them. I take every opportunity to interact with readers and those who share a love of stories. My brother, Cole Miller, and I were invited to host a panel regarding storytelling and character development at Yuma Comic Con. This was my first panel, and it was an amazing experience. I’ve been on podcasts before, which is also phenomenal, but there’s something magical about speaking with people face-to-face.

Now, I call Tucson my home, and we host an amazing Festival of Books yearly. For the past three years, I’ve had the honor of attending in the Independent Author’s Pavillion. For the first time this year, a fan approached me who has read my books before meeting me and asked for my signature. Emily, my girlfriend, can attest to my inability to find words in that moment.

Every experience I’ve had on this journey, even the difficult lessons I’ve learned, is something I wouldn’t trade. This is my home, and it’s each of you who make it possible that I can have it. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the past twelve years. Here’s to many more, and to bringing more people into this family!
