I was born and raised in Yuma, a relatively small desert city in Southern Arizona. From a young age, I loved telling stories, and I knew I had plenty to share. Around age 13, I started writing in my spare time. This passion, in retrospect, is probably one of the reasons I couldn’t relate to my peer’s issues of sunburns in Yuma.
In 2012
After high school, I moved to Tucson to attend University. My publications slowed down, but my writing hasn’t faltered. As I’ve matured, so has my writing style and the depth of my characters. I am hopeful that some of those same readers will follow me in my journey as a storyteller, but I am also excited to form new connections and bring my stories to new audiences. My passion is to use the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years to infuse my characters with an even deeper sense of life and meaning, bringing them to life in a way that makes my readers feel as if they’ve met someone new.
Along with my writing, I tend to commit fully to anything I do. In 2017, I graduated Summa Cum Laude in the Biomedical Engineering program at the University of Arizona. In 2018, I earned my black belt in Tang Soo Do, and I continue to teach alongside my own instructor on the University campus.
I am in the process of starting a YouTube channel with my brother, and I have more opportunities with my writing just on the horizon. Every diverse thing I do in life strengthens my characters, and I am grateful for each experience – whether it’s through fight sequences or scientific backing in a science-fiction novel. I am amazed at how everything can come together to feed a passion, and I am excited to share that passion and to bring my characters to you!
